The accomodation is not only great value, but the family that run the apartments are just wonderful!
They are amazingly helpful, kind and generous.
The food in the restaurant is great value, we got a two course meal with a litre of house wine for two people for only 25euro.
After your meal, you get offered a shot of raki and some delicious fresh fruit!
A great selection on the menu, with frequent specials.
The apartments are self catering, however the facities for cooking are basic, a two ring hob, two pots and one frying pan.
The place is pristine and the cleaners come monday to saturday to empty your bins and sweep the floors.
Two towels are provided per person.
The towels and bed sheets are changed regularly.
Each apartment has a drying rack on the balcony which really facilitates hand washing your laundry.
There is a shop adjacent to the apartments which provides everything that you could need for your holiday.
The village of gerani is a short ten minute walk up the hill, great if your looking for an authentic greek village with three tavernas.
Rethymnon is 6km to the east or a 510 minute drive.
I would highly recommend renting a car so you can explore some of crete while staying in the camari garden apartments.
Unless all your looking for is a very quiet holiday lounging by the pool and eating at camari and in gerani.
We saw a lot of families and the kids really seem to love the place.
The families we spoke to are either repeat visitors or intend to go and stay there again, so i would have no hesitation in recommending it.
We ourselves will be heading back as often as we can, it already feels like a home away from home!
