i shopping won::This post is meant to shine the light on a situation that affects many in my area, so i felt i needed to share.
I live in a small town.
Pretty much the only choice we have for grocery shopping is kroger.
Because of this, most people go to kroger for their shopping.
I had one of my facebook readers contact me today letting me know that our local kroger is no longer accepting internet printed coupons unless they have a pin number on them.
She said that she spoke to several people including a manager and confirmed this.
I had planned on going to kroger tonight, so i thought i should call them beforehand to clarify things.
According to the customer service person and the manager that she consulted, my reader was correct.
I was looking at some of the coupons that i had printed from coupons.
Again, no pin number.
I had not cut the coupons out yet, so i asked if i could bring them out there and show them the coupons and have them show me the pin number.
None could find a pin number.
They said that corporate had told them that they were to accept no printable coupons unless there is a pin number.
One of the customer service reps showed me the email that they had received from corporate along with the attachment showing the coupons with pin numbers.
The sample showed smartsource coupons.
I asked if they had samples of coupons.
Com, redplum or coupon network.
I tried to explain that other coupon companies are different and will not have the same information.
Com and coupon network.
Kroger has the right to accept or not accept whatever coupons they wish.
I am contacting corporate tomorrow.
After that conversation, i may or may not change my mind.
There is a walmart about 12 miles from here.
As walmart has made changes to their coupon policy and seems to be more accepting, i will probably start going there now.
I will probably still stop at kroger for bread or milk, but for now that is all i plan on.
As for my recommendation for you.
That will be a decision you have to make on your own.
Thanks for letting me share this information with you!
